A Big Little Life is really a must-read to dog lovers. It makes me smile, laugh and cry while reading the book chapter by chapter.
Trixie Koontz, aka Short Stuff/Trix/Fluffybutt/Furface was a CCI (Canine Companions for Independence) assistance dog for the disabled people on wheelchair. After retired from her service due to elbow surgery, she joined the Koontz family and brought happiness, miseries and inspiration to Dean and Gerda. Trixie's inpiration on Dean was so strong that it actually changed his writing.
To Dean, Trixie was not just a Golden Retriever, she was an angel on earth.
