Migrating to Australia Good Meh? by Ken SoongMy rating: 5 of 5 stars
A very comprehensive and down-to-earth guide for Malaysians!
Often we have the wrong perception for the Western culture that they're more open-minded, this book reveals the myths that they greatly opens my eyes.
As a parent of a child, sometimes I would think that migrating to overseas is a good choice for the sake of my kid's education. But would my kid be able to cope with the culture shock and school bullying case because he's an alien in the country?
And lastly, getting a job or business in Australia. Are we able to cope with the culture shock (again) and the working environment in the country whereby the working style is different from our home country? I personally have experience of working with Chinese (in China) and I have to admit that we need time and effort in order to adapt into their environment.
This book is highly recommended to those we thought of migrating to Australia just because they're told that it has better opportunity, better pay, better education, etc. Do some research and read this book (of course!) before you decide.
